How’s that for a post title? I have lots of goals this year, both personal & business…but all of them settle on one word. My word of the year: intention. This year I am striving for intention in everything. A small part of that starts here, on this blog I started so many years ago. For a handful of years I was a pretty decent blogger…the past 3 years or so…well, let’s not travel down that road. There are so many reasons for this…a big one, well, my daughter is 3 years old this month ;) Bigger, I stopped reading blogs…and even now, I only read a handful (I know, I know). For me, blogs kind of slowed down in this industry and I let that change how I was operating as well. That being said, this is the best way I know to share my work with you all…oh, also, I miss it! I miss showing off my amazing seniors, beautiful weddings and sweet, sweet families I have the honor of meeting and photographing. So there you have it, I won’t promise anything consistent, however, I will try. Not only sessions and weddings and events from this past *amazing* year, but hopefully I’ll share some of my favorites from the past years…so many good ones, just sitting on my hard drives, I mean, I want you all to see them!
Let’s start with Brady & Jessica…because I am in Ohio, and it’s cold here…and their wedding was in South Carolina this fall…and well, do I need anymore reasons than that? Didn’t think so.
I was absolutely honored that they asked me to come along…it’s hard to beat destination weddings in my book, so any time we get asked, we pretty much jump at the chance! Brady & Jessica were married on Folly Beach, South Carolina and we hopped over to Charleston & Angel Oak for photographs. We couldn’t have had a better day for a beach wedding…but coming from southern Ohio…it doesn’t take much for a beach wedding to be basically perfect ;) Here’s just a handful from their day.
The famous Angel Oak Tree, and yes, I could photograph under it every. single. day. (It was pretty crowded that day, but I loved the challenge of trying to avoid the other visitors ;)
Gosh, that felt good. It’s nice to be back friends :)
