Stephanie | 2011 East Clinton Senior

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

Gorgeous, talented, athletic & sweet…meet Stephanie.  She’s a senior at East Clinton High School this year and we met up last month to do her senior photos. She’s so cute, and up for anything…which is always awesome with seniors :) Here are few of my favorites from her session…

*love* this one.

Stephanie, you’re gorgeous.

She’s an awesome volleyball player, so we had to get a few of those in too…

Stephanie, thanks for such a great session!  Good luck with your last year of High School!!!

Dylan – Senior ’11 | Chillicothe Ohio Senior Photography

Thursday, August 26th, 2010

In honor of the first week of school for our area, I thought I would jump a few sessions ahead and post one of my recent seniors (don’t worry, I’ll go back ;)

Anyway, last month I got together with Dylan to photograph his senior photos…I had a great time with him & his mom. Apparently his mom & I go way back, she saw my sister & I right after we were born. We were the first twins she’d ever met ;)  Dylan’s super talented, and frankly…pretty darn good looking (I can say that, I’m old & married :)

He’s very musical & athletic, so we wanted to cover those bases in the shoot. It was the perfect evening, a little warm, but great light.  Here’s a few of my favorites…

His dad was actually my middle school band teacher. Yes, I was in the band…and yes, I was worse than you can imagine…and I played the trombone :)

One of my favorites:

Another favorite:

I had to sneak in a couple with his sister Megan…also super talented!

These are just the awards from this year (her freshman year), she’s got just as many from last year!  She’s also broken several records…

The website is getting a waay overdue update. I haven’t switched up the images in over two years. Since it’s such a big job, I am just doing a bit at a time, so while the galleries need updated…there are a few new shots on it (some you’ve never seen!).

If you are in Southern Ohio…enjoy this amazing weather today, you can’t beat sunny & 76! If you are anywhere else…enjoy what you have too!!

Seth – Senior ‘10 | Chillicothe Ohio Senior Photography

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

Every now and then I come across someone that makes me feel old.  Really old. You see, I first met Seth in the Hospital…when he was born!  His mom has a photo of the three of us girls peering into the window to see him!

You can imagine when I found out that it was time for his senior pictures that I was feeling…well, not like I am 17 (which I still firmly believe I am).  It was so amazing to spend time with the family and get to know the man that was once the little boy my sister’s and I would play with while our dad’s were in meetings.  We started our shoot at the golf course (Seth is a great golfer…something I know nothing about) then headed downtown for some more fun shots.

Congrats on graduating Seth!! Even though I’d still rather think you were 5 :)

What a busy month it’s been! I can’t believe it’s almost June!  We’ve been filling our month with weddings (3 so far) and so many fun shoots…I can’t wait to share them with you!

At the start of April, Hannah, her mom & I got together to do her senior photos at one of my favorite places to shoot.  I had a great time on our shoot, and I have a feeling Hannah had a pretty good time too ;)

She has the most amazing eyes, really, I just couldn’t get over them! Not only is she gorgeous, she’s the Salutatorian of her class this year!

My favorite from the shoot.  I told you she was gorgeous…

Hannah, congrats on graduating…and good luck with that speech, I know you’ll do great!

My word, she has style! I just loved the outfits she had chosen!

Jessica, thanks for choosing me! I had a great time on your shoot!  So excited for you, I know you will LOVE IWU!!  Oh, and I still wanna hear you sing!

First off I want to say, Happy 2010!!!  It’s gonna be an amazing year for Cassidy Dawn Photography and we are soo happy it’s here!  We’ve are currently halfway booked for weddings for the year, and lots & lots of inquires rolling in from the holidays, so be sure to email soon about your date before it’s gone!  We also have quite a few requests for fall photos…so if you were hoping to have a fall session, please let me know so I can get you on the list…if this year is anything like last year, the dates will go fast!

I’ve been missing on here lately (I warned you ;), but that’s only because of everything we have going on!  Not only was Christmas perfect (like always), I had the best New Year yet!  Actually, I kept forgetting that it was New Year’s Eve & Day…to me, it was moving day :)  We are thrilled to finally be living in our too cute little house and happy to be homeowners. Not to mention we finally have both pets under our roof…it’s too cold for my baby to be living outside ;) Thomas & Sayid are…um, co-existing…but I am sure they will soon become great friends…or at least acquaintances ;)  Oh, and thanks to all our family & friends that helped us move.  I was in awe all day at the love that was shown by them.  Not only did we have people helping us move everything we own (which is too much ;), but we had neighbors stopping by to welcome us (we go to church with most of our neighbors!), our friends/neighbors even fixed lunch for all our helpers (a yummy fish fry!).  I am telling you, I don’t think we could be in a better place.  Loving every minute of it :)

Okay, now onto what you really want to see…pictures! Right in the middle of fall this year I got to photograph Joe.  I’ve known Joe for a couple years now, and knew we would have a great time.  He’s crazy talented and he picked some amazing spots for our shoot.  Joe, you’re pretty great.  That’s all I have to say :)

My favorite!!  I’ve actually been wanting to shoot in a field like this for a while…thanks Joe :)

We had to sneak in a few of Cydney…she’s actually gone on a few shoots with me to help with the reflector.  She’s pretty great too.

Don’t forget, I’m leaving on Thursday for Nashville for a photo conference…so it will be boring on here again, but I am sure I’ll sneak on a time or two with updates.  I’m still posting shoots from October, so you can imagine how much I still have to show you!

Julianne 2010 | Lexington Kentucky Senior Photography

Monday, December 21st, 2009

I honestly don’t even know where to start.  If I could dream up the perfect shoot…this would be it.  Hands down.  We photographed in my idea of *perfect* locations, we had amazing light…and the subject…wow.  Julianne is stunning and there is no other way to put it.  Not only is she model material, her heart is pure gold.  She’s one of the sweetest, most poised teenagers I know, and I am absolutely honored that she choose me to photograph her senior pictures.  I love when seniors want something a bit different than what everyone else is doing…that’s why Julianne & her mom asked me to come down to Kentucky to do her pictures!  I’ve known the family for a few years now and I love any chance that I get to see them again.  Julianne’s dad is a professor at Asbury and Allison (my roommate/best friend/other sister) would go to their house to watch Project Runway & Alias with Julianne’s mom when we where in college (loved those days!).

Julianne is one of those girls you look at and say, “Good gracious, she’s got it together.”  Not only is she blindly stunning, but she accomplished in running & the violin.  Oh, and don’t even get me started on her artistic talent (she has no idea how good she is).  She is also an amazing big sister to three of the cutest siblings you’ll ever meet.  Julianne, not only am I honored to photograph you, but frankly, I am honored to know you.  I am so excited for your future…you’ve got so many exciting things coming!

We started this shoot in downtown Lexington, then headed back to Wilmore to go to High Bridge for the rest of the shoot.  I promise I narrowed it down as much as I could…you don’t want to know how many she has ;)  This is as good as I could get it, so sit back and enjoy a few (ahem, a lot) of my favorites from her shoot!

Alexis – Senior 2010 | Columbus Ohio Senior Photography

Friday, December 4th, 2009

I first met Alexis back in August at Skylar’s senior photo session.  At the end of her shoot two of her best friends came by so we could get some fun shots of them together.  Not long after that shoot, I got a call from Alexis’s mom.  She had been trying to decided where to go for her senior pictures, but hadn’t had much luck.  She had so much fun at Skylar’s shoot, she wanted to have me photograph her too…I was thrilled!  She is so sweet, and soo easy to photograph.

We met up at the Park of Roses and just walked around looking for spots…I’d never photographed their before, but I definitly plan to again…so beautiful!  Alexis goes to Grove City High School in Columbus, and I hope she has the best year…she’s got so much going for her!

Megan – Senior 2010 | Ohio Senior Photography

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

Sweet, sweet Megan.  As you can tell from the photos…this wasn’t taken last week.  I told you I am a bit behind ;)

Megan wasn’t thrilled with the idea of having her photos taken.  Actually, she wasn’t looking forward to it at all…it was for mom.  I think it’s so sweet that even though she didn’t want to have them done, she did it for her mom.  (megan, I know you’re mom is grateful).

The great thing about these situations with me is that I can completely identify.  I avoid getting my picture taken whenever I can, ironic, I know.  I keep this in mind and try to make it as easy as possible on them, so we did this session really fast, but still got some great images.  Here are a few of my favorites:

Robert – Senior ’10 | Chillicothe Ohio Senior Photography

Amazing location. Great light. Crazy good looking guy. New photo spots. Heaven.

This shoot was so great…and sooo worth the 2 hour drive it took me to get there!  Robert & his mom heard about me from the beautiful Ellie (’09 CDP senior!), and I was thrilled when they asked me to come photograph his senior pictures.  It’s always flattering to be asked…but there is something even more flattering when they are out of town. I know there are photographers around and in between…but to be chosen makes me smile soo big :)

Robert is such a great guy.  Big brother to 3 siblings, plays guitar in a band (with his brother), involved in swimming, track & cross country, and no doubt an excellent student!  He’s the kind of guy that makes you know you can do more great things with your life.  In the 2 or so hours I spent with him and his mom, I knew that if we lived closer…we’d have to be friends.  They are all so involved in making where they live a better place.  I wish more people were like that.  It was an honor to spend time with them…and I’m crossing my fingers that the family shoot is able to happen ;)

Here are a few of my favorites (a few)…enjoy!
