…but this time I wont have email…sorry!

I know, I know…I keep leaving.  I promise, it’s another great reason though!  I have the honor of helping with a very large commercial photo shoot (well-known brand…can’t disclose, sorry), Wednesday through Friday.  I will have my phone, but I expect to be tied up most of the time.  I am trying to return all emails tonight before I leave, but feel free to call today if you want to set up a shoot…just one left for October!

And because you know how I am about posts with no images, here’s one of my new favorite images of me.  Thanks Justin for grabbing this shot of me at the wedding last weekend…it makes me smile :)

All weddings are an honor to photograph.  To be chosen to document one of the most memorable days in the lives of a couple is overwhelming.  Not only do I get to spend the day so close by and watching the little details of the day…I am the one that is to capture it, so that years down the road their children & grandchildren can see what the beautiful day was like.  It’s an honor.

This wedding was nothing short of that.  Katie & Brandon are so adorable together.  I photographed their engagement session last fall and knew that their wedding would be a day filled with love & laughs.  I was right.  Katie has the cutest, most contagious laugh.  I can’t help but smile every time I hear her.  In fact, if I have a bad day, I think I am just going to call her up and ask her to laugh for me…she instantly puts me in such a wonderful mood.  If we lived closer, I’d probably drive the poor girl nuts…I’d insist on getting together every other day :)

It was a beautiful day in Jackson, Ohio, and I couldn’t have been surrounded by better people.  Thank you for making me feel as though I was apart of your family…it was a wonderful day!

I just wanted to post a quick update to let you wonderful folks know that I will be out of the office until Thursday!  I am off to beautiful Kentucky for a few non stop days of photographing some of the sweetest families & kiddos in the Bluegrass state :)

I will have email access…so don’t hesitate to contact me.  On that note, for anyone hoping to schedule a fall shoot….contact me as soon as possible! As you know, September is booked, and October is just about there.  Available evenings for October shoots are: October 5, 15, 22, 27 & 29…and that’s it!

*All weekends in November are booked, but weekdays are still open.

And, just because posts are easier to ignore with no photos…here’s a little sneak peak of a recent session.  Oh, and it just so happens that this is one of my favorite families. Ever.

Skylar = gorgous. Simple.

Skylar’s mom contacted me a while back about doing her senior pictures.  She lives in Grove City and was hoping to do something a little different than what everyone at her school does. Enter, Cassidy Dawn Photography :)  I was thrilled that she wanted me to photograph her…according to her mom, Skylar was “picky” about her senior photos…and the fact that she chose me was an absolute thrill for me. (oh, and it doesn’t hurt that she loves them all :)

We had a great session early in the morning.  I usually prefer shooting in the evening because of that beautiful evening light.  If I was a morning person, I would have known a lot earlier that morning light can be even better!  We did her session at 8 am (yes, location was an hour from me…that’s how much I love my job ;) and I was just over the moon excited about what we got.

Skylar, thank you for picking me as your photographer. I am soo glad you did.  It was great to meet you, your amazing mom & grandma, your best friends, and your beautiful horse!  I can’t wait to do Alexis’s pictures in a few weeks!

Dear Denise, please don’t kill me for posting this.  You all are so gorgeous, I couldn’t help myself.

Jennifer contacted me a while back about doing a family session while they were in town.  Of course I was thrilled, nothing makes me happier than photographing sweet people in love with each other…so I couldn’t wait.

I love that they wanted to have family photos while they were in town…I know that Ava & Andrew will be so grateful for this time someday, and that makes me so happy.  Thank you for recognizing the importance of recording your family as they are now…things change so quickly.

I can’t begin to explain how much I love the photo on the left (this was not posed at all… and it melts my heart.)

What child has this hair?! Seriously, I’m jealous.

I had the best time photographing this amazing family.  I am still smiling from the great session we had :)

“I never look good in pictures”.

If I could only tell you how often I hear this.  Right as we started Myriah said that exact statement, so after I took the very first shot I turned the camera to her and she said…”wow, I really like that one!”, then smiled.  Trust me folks, we don’t believe in making people look bad in photos…it’s not what we do :)

Thanks for a great shoot Myriah, I know it was a little warm that evening, but you totally stuck it out and nailed every single shot.  I hope you love your photos…I do!  Have an amazing senior year at Greenfield!

To say I was excited for this shoot is an understatement.  My beautiful cousin Lauren and I had tossed around the idea of doing her headshots & body shots for quite a while.  Well, this her senior year of college at Wright State and so what better time than now! Lauren’s not just an actress, she’s a singer and a dancer…and an amazing one at that.

For example, Lauren just spent two weeks at a program that combined rock climbing with dance. I am not sure of the details, but here is a photo on her facebook:

What?! See, I told you. Amazing.
