Allsop Family

Thursday, January 15th, 2009

I am a busy bee editing a session today on this snowy day…and I’m on cloud 9.  Wouldn’t you be if you were looking at love like this…

Just wanted to share a little sneak peak, aren’t they so sweet?!  Justin & I had dinner with this beautiful family the other night and I think Malachi and I have become fast friends!  More on them (and the rest of the family) soon!

Stay warm out there and be safe on those roads!  (that is if you are dealing with the winter weather :)

The Reed Family

Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

Ok, so you know the things that I said about Kaleb in my previous post?  Well, turns out…it’s true for the entire family!

This family may be one of the very sweetest families I have ever met.  If you know them you would agree.  I was lucky enough to also get to photograph this awesome family the same day as Kaleb’s shoot.  I was a very happy girl that day.

Aren’t they so cute?!

I think it’s obvious, but doesn’t she have amazing eyes?!

How cute is this?!  I do have more serious photos of him…but I just loved this one!

Kaleb – Senior

Tuesday, January 13th, 2009

Leading up to this shoot, I kept hearing the same thing about Kaleb.  We hadn’t really met before, but after spending an hour or so with him at the shoot, I can agree with everything I heard.

Kaleb is a class act.

Smart, polite, respectful, funny (seriously, he is really, really funny).  He’s just an all around great guy and I was honored to photograph his senior photos.

Happy Birthday to…us!

Friday, January 9th, 2009

I just wanted to post a quick message to my womb buddy, Whitney!  Happy Birthday, I love you!

The whole family is meeting in Louisville tomorrow (sort-of central location for us) to celebrate at the Cheesecake Factory.

Here’s a photo from back when we almost looked like twins :)  (left – me, right – whitney)

I wasn’t able to post photos from this particular session when I typically would because they were a Christmas gift…I didn’t want to spoil any surprises!  I thought I would post a couple of my favorites.  They are cousins and the photos were gift for their grandfather…so sweet!037

good bye to a dream.

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

The news that I had been warned of is now official and I am devastated.  And I am not exaggerating.

I love, love, love magazines.  Really, I think I am subscribed to around 6 or 7.  My favorite of all time is Cottage Living.  I have an inspiration folder for my house someday and 90% of it comes from Cottage Living.  One of the top goals in my life was to photograph for Cottage Living, it was my big dream…everyone has those, and that was mine.

It’s been canceled.  They are canceling my favorite magazine and I am very sad.  This may sound petty to most of you, but I am really as upset as it seems.

Good bye Cottage Living.  Thank you for inspiring me, making me smile, giving me hope for having a comfortable home (when I felt like I didn’t), teaching me endless tips, turning not so great rooms into rooms you could spend your life, and helping me find my true cottage style.  I am eternally grateful and I will miss you often.

Love, Cassidy

Josh – Senior

Loved this day!  Great weather, amazing light, and a good looking senior!  I just love it when everything comes together for a shoot.

Here are a few of my favorite photos.  2 points to Josh for picking an awesome location – because of that shoot I found a spot that might just be my very favorite location yet!  Lucky for me it’s just a few minutes from my house :)

This is my favorite senior image that I’ve shot. ever.

I fully intend to regret letting this happen in the very, very near future.  However, tonight it was just funny…and I am giving him a break for being back home, clawless & slightly less of a man.

Christmas Cards

Saturday, January 3rd, 2009

I promise this is my last Christmas related post!  I just wanted to post some of the Christmas cards that I designed for some great people this year.  Be sure to be thinking about this for next year, it’s a great value, and who doesn’t want a great family photo for their cards?!

*You can also include a message on the back of the cards, it’s great for updating all those family & friends on what you are up to.

Next year I am planning on doing a day of mini sessions for cards – more on that later in the year.

Here’s a little peak!

to my amazing clients

Thursday, January 1st, 2009

I have the best clients ever.  Really.  So this year I wanted to send out a little thank you to all of them for allowing me to photograph a little bit of their lives!  So if you had a session this year, keep you eye on your mailbox for a little note & photo from yours truly.
