Oh these two. Let me tell you about these two. When Lindsey, Ross and I had met about their wedding around a year or so ago, I had causally mentioned how we love to travel…especially to shoot in new locations. Sure, I knew the wedding would be in Columbus and that they grew up in Ross County…but I also knew that they now live in San Francisco…you know, one of those bucket list cities for me. I always love photographing couples (or families or seniors) in areas that mean something to them. Not only is it a great time to really capture that time of your life, but the photos might mean that much more if you can shoot in areas that you often go, or love or have memories from.
You can imagine how excited I was when we started to seriously talk about Justin and I flying out to photograph them where they live. We planned to make it a couple day event…that way we could be shooting in the best light, but also hit several locations too…I mean, it’s not every weekend you have a photographer following you around, you better make the most of it! Not only did they take us to the most spectacular areas to photograph, but we really had the best time! Saw amazing spots, ate amazing food and spent the whole weekend with an amazing couple. We honestly still talk about it often and how excited we are to head back one day.
Ross and Lindsey, thank you for everything…especially for making us fall in love with San Francisco…how’s about an anniversary shoot?! ;)
These two get married TOMORROW, so today seemed like the perfect day to share our time in California!
We started the evening we flew in (after an incredible tour of Alcatraz) and headed downtown to City Hall! They were closing in 10 mins…so we had the place to ourselves :) Our other shoot locations included the Presidio (one of my new favorite places of all time), a look out spot for the Golden Gate Bridge, their too cute home, Crissy Field, the Palace of Fine Arts & Baker Beach. It was an epic weekend and writing up this post has me looking at flights. I hope you enjoy the pictures even a 1/3 as much as I enjoyed this trip!
So excited for tomorrow!
